Newest Notebook Manufacturer Introduces
Technology You Can Eat
San Jose, Calif. – March 28, 2001 – Silicon Valley Confection Company, the valley’s newest notebook manufacturer, today introduced the Chocolate Notebook at The Tech Museum of Innovation.
The Chocolate Notebook is a simulated computer that includes eight truffle-filled Belgian chocolate RAM (Really Appetizing Morsel) chips and one solid Belgian chocolate CPU (Chocolate Perfection Unit) chip. A tongue-in-cheek color user’s manual is also included.
Each notebook features one full pound of Belgian chocolate and is available in two flavors, all milk or all dark chocolate.
The notebook’s screen features the home page of the Silicon Valley Confection Company web site, but computer-savy buyers have figured out how to replace it with their own web site page. More information is available at www.SVC2.com.
“We are proud to make our newest example of technology-you-can-eat available for the first time at The Tech Museum of Innovation” stated Al Abrahams, company President and CEO. “Our first product, The Year 2K Bug chocolate, did very well there and we anticipate the same for the Chocolate Notebook.”
“We have created what we believe is the world’s best tasting computer” added Rich Yacco, Chief Creative Officer. “If you don’t agree, try eating your favorite computer maker’s notebook.”
The Chocolate Notebook is on sale at The Tech Museum of Innovation Store, 201 South Market Street, in the Silicon Valley products section. Orders are also being taken online at http://store.thetech.org.
The Chocolate Notebook is manufactured for Silicon Valley Confection Company by Knudsen’s Candy Factory in Hayward, Calif. The two companies shared a similar relationship two years ago when The Year 2K Bug chocolate was offered as a lighthearted spoof of the transition to the new millennium.
